Update Varient News Magazine Script From v2.0.x to v2.1

Updating FTP Files

Step 1 Open your cPanel and go to File Manager section.

Step 2 Go to main directory of your site.

Step 3 Create a new folder named "old"

Step 4 Move all of your files to this folder

Step 5 Upload "codecanyon-varient-news-magazine-script.zip" file to this directory.

Step 6 Rigth click the .zip file and select "Extract" option.

Step 7 Move all files that in the "varient-v.." folder to main directory.

Step 8 Delete unnecessary files/folders: "documentation",All.

Step 9 Copy old/uploads folder to main directory.

Step 10 Open app/Config/Database.php file and enter your database credentials.

Step 11 Open ".env" file that on the main directory of the script files and add your license and your site URL.

Updating Database

Steep 1 Upload update_database.php file to your main directory.

Steep 2 Open your browser and enter this URL: yourdomain.com/update_database.php

Success When you go to this URL, you will see an update wizard. Click Update My Database button and complete the updating.
